Vijeta Pandit is a playback singer and actress whose claim to fame comes from her debut film as actor, “Love Story” (1981).
She was born into a family steeped in musical tradition. She is the niece of renowned classical musician Pandit Jasraj. Playback singer and actress Sulakshana Pandit, and music directors Jatin - Lalit are her siblings. Playback singers Shraddha and Shwetha Pandit are her nieces.
After a couple of hit movies, she gave up acting and turned her focus to playback singing. She is married to music composer Aadesh Shrivastava who produced her debut pop album “Propose-Pyaar Ka Izhaar” in 2007.
