With the moderate success of "Agent Vinod", Ram - Laxman became a regular in Rajshri Production movies. After a fairly lacklustre decade, Ram - Laxman delivered the biggest hit of his career and of that year with “Maine Pyar Kiya” (1989). Despite a few lifted tunes, the songs of the film, including "Dil Deewana", "Kabootar Ja Ja Ja" and "Mere Rang Mein Ragne Wali", became very popular and won Ram - Laxman his first, and only, Filmfare Award.
Ram - Laxman followed up "Maine Pyar Kiya" with two other successes in Rajshri films - “Hum Aapke Hain Kaun” (1994) and “Hum Saath Saath Hain” (2000).
Ram - Laxman has also composed music for many Marathi and Bhojpuri films.
