Kulwant Jani was a scriptwriter and lyricist in the Hindi film industry. He was active in the industry from the 1970 through 1990s.
Some of the songs written by him are “Doli Uthegi”, “Yaad Aayee”, “Shabba Shabba” (“Gola Barood”, 1989), “Yeh Chali Woh Chali” (“Do Qaidi”, 1989), “Kisi Ko Mujrim” (“Girl from India”, 1982) and “Birha Ki Mari Koi” (“Shaitan Mujrim”, 1980). Other movies he has written songs for include “Suryavanshi” (1992), “Raakh Aur Chingari” (1982), “Ek Baar Kaho” (1980), “Samasya” (1975), “Ek Ladki Badnaam Si” (1974) and “Lalkaar” (1972). He has composed lines for noted music directors like Kalyanji-Anandji, Shyamji Ghanshyamji, Bappi Lahiri, Usha Khanna, Sonik-Omi, Anu Malik, Rajesh Roshan and Laxmikant-Pyarelal.
