Trivia

    Album

  • A.R. Rahman made a 3 hour tape of all the dialogues of this film with the songs inserted at appropriate points to ensure that the songs complemented the story of the film. The idea originated from the approach used for the stage production of "The Lord Of The Rings" in which A.R. Rahman was one of the composers.

    Song

  • Lukka Chhuppi - A.R. Rahman was supposed to compose a song for the scene in which Waheeda Rahman's character finds out about her son's death. He suggested to Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra that he compose a lullaby instead of a song. Rakeysh agreed and the result was a song that worked very well in the film even though it didn't exactly match the scene's mood.
