1. Comprehensive guide - MySwar has information for the last six decades of Hindi film music from 1951 to present day.
2. Musical attributes - A group of passionate music lovers has listened to every song in the last 6 decades and tagged each song with up to 3 Genres. A bunch of other musical attributes have also been catalogued. While, the Genre information is displayed, the other attributes are not. As far as we know, this is the first time such an exercise has been successfully completed in India.
3. Songs like this - For every song, a list of similar songs are shown based on Genre and other musical attributes.
4. Personalized recommendation - If you rate a song, we will tell you what other songs you may like.
5. Accurate and extensive credits - We believe it is important to recognize every individual who contributes to the making of the music we love so much. Find out not just the music director, lyricist and singers involved in each song but also assistants, arrangers, producers, recording engineers, studio, instrumentalists, etc.
6. Trivia - Do you know the only song or which R.D. Burman wrote lyrics? Or, of the song in which Sonu Nigam sings in 54 voices?! Find out here. Also contribute trivia like this along with a reference (preferably a hyperlink).
7. Awards - Check out songs/albums that won National and Filmfare awards. Contribute additional award information.
8. Reviews - Read reviews of other music lovers. Submit your own reviews. Also check out the reviews of critics and bloggers. Or submit links to external reviews.
9. Artist bios Read artist bios and find out more about your favorite artists. Also check out their official Facebook pages, Twitter handles and websites, if available. While this section has been completed for many popular artists, there are many that we are currently working on.
10. Listen to previews - If you are located in a country where iTunes is available, you can listen to the iTunes song preview.
11. Buy - Depending on where you are located, buy songs or albums from iTunes and CDs from Flipkart.
